Milk fever is a common disease in cows after calving due to low calcium levels.
Cow becomes weak and unable to stand properly.
Ears and legs become cold to touch.
Loss of appetite and dullness are seen.
In severe cases, the cow may collapse and stop responding.
Give warm jaggery water to provide energy.
Rub the cow’s body with a warm cloth to improve circulation.
Feed calcium-rich food like ragi, sesame, or lime water.
Keep the cow warm using dry bedding or covering.
Consult a veterinarian immediately for calcium injection treatment.
